Welcome to the Mount Si High School Employee Recognition Program, a dedicated initiative to honor our staff members for their exceptional service to our school and students.

Nominate an Outstanding Staff Member

We encourage supervisors, fellow employees, parents, and community members to nominate an employee who has demonstrated exceptional dedication and effort. This program is designed to highlight individual achievements and contributions.

Monthly Recognition

Each month, the selected individuals will be recognized during our staff meetings, featured on our social media platforms, and highlighted on our website. This is our way of celebrating those who have gone above and beyond in their roles.

How to Nominate

Individual Recognition: While we appreciate the efforts of large groups and departments, this program focuses on individual recognition. Please submit separate nominations for each staff member you wish to recognize.
Unlimited Nominations: Feel free to nominate as many staff members as you like, ensuring each one is recognized individually for their contributions.

Program Details

This site will be updated on the 30th of each month to celebrate all of the employees who were nominated.

9/6/24	Maria Hurley	Steven Crane	So helpful and friendly. Extremely knowledgeable. Wants students to succeed. Can't imagine MSHS without him. Thank you, Mr. Crane. You are EXCELLENT.

9/12/24	Janelle Woffinden	Janell Klovdahl	Janell has my student who has a 504 plan. At the start of the year, she took the time to not only learn the plan but also to send my student a note letting him what each accommodation will look like in her class. As a mom and a school counselor who supports 504's, this act was so greatly appreciated!
9/13/24	Anna Kuhtz	Lynsey Woldendorp	For having such a welcoming and kind atmosphere everyday. Ms. Woldendorp is the type of teacher everyone looks forward to seeing every day.
9/13/24	Sophie Hanify	Colleen Fitzgerald	I had mrs Fitzgerald as my LA Honors 9 teacher last year and I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. Going to her class was always engaging and slightly challenging, enough that by the end of the year I saw so much improvement with my performance and felt so incredibly accomplished. I don't think I could have done it without her. I thoroughly enjoyed this class and the teacher with all the activities and conversations we had and am so thankful for her and the experiences she brought.
9/16/24	John Delport	Erik Tierney	Erik epitomizes the type of wildcat we all need to be. He is tireless in his efforts to do what is best for students and his peers, he goes above and beyond in his work with students and families, he is able to recognize and make things right if something doesn't work, he is collaborative and is able to get the best out of students and peers. When some one is down he is able to show empathy even when he has a lot on his plate.

His commitment to fostering a love for learning, building students’ confidence, and guiding his students to become leaders is commendable. Thank you for your dedication, patience, and the countless hours invested in their growth. Your passion for teaching and ability to connect with each student has made a lasting impact. We are incredibly grateful for your service and positive influence on our son’s future. Though tough and straightforward, you challenge them to make mistakes and learn from them, growing their confidence and independence.

9/27/24	Eva McLean	Robert Rutherford	Every morning people come to play jazz at 6:40 in the morning! You’d think it’s exhausting waking up at 5:30, driving to school, and playing an instrument for an hour. Contrary, Mr. Rutherford makes jazz something everyone looks forward to! He always tells cool stories, makes funny jokes, while also greatly improving the sound of our band. He’s such an amazing director, and I really enjoy how he makes the band and orchestra program feel like a family.
9/27/24	Abbey Cantrell	Elizabeth Whittington	Ms. Whittington knows how to connect with her students and bring out the best in them. She recognizes their strengths & celebrates them with her students & helps them build their weaknesses into strengths.
9/27/24	Donna Johnston	Michael Buban	Mr. Buban has inspired my son to think about the future. He is excited to explore welding to see how this could be a potential career. This teacher and this class have sparked Chase’s interest in the trades and he is excited to go to school every day!
