Gap Year
A gap year is a period, typically lasting one academic year, taken by a student as a break between high school and college, or during college. This break is used for various purposes, such as travel, work, volunteer work, internships, or other personal pursuits. The goal of a gap year is to provide an opportunity for personal growth, skill development, and gaining real-world experiences that can enrich one’s education and future career.
