Program Requirements
Program Orientation Meeting- meet with the online coordinator to learn about the program requirements and expectations
- Location: Classroom 1205
- Resources: TBD
- Date: 1st day of each semester
- Time: the first 20 minutes of period 1-7
- Additional program orientation times will be added for students with a late online enrollment.
- NOTE: This is separate from and in addition to the online provider orientation class for all new online students (Peak Future Ready or Pearson Connexus Orientation)
Attendance
This is an in-person program, periods 1-7. Attendance is taken each day at the beginning of the period. Students are encouraged to utilize their in-class time and may also work at home in order to stay on target or work ahead according to the course pacing guide/target due dates.
0 period students taking an online course above and beyond their full-time school schedule at MSHS (7 periods) or Running Start (10 credits) will take their course from home. In order to be counted present for attendance each day, students must be active in their course, make progress each 7-day week according to their course pacing guide/target due dates & complete the Weekly Progress Check.
- Active = logging in and working on the course content.
- Progress = submitting graded assignments.
- Weekly Progress Check = in person, via phone/email or complete the WPC questionnaire.
Mid-way Exam Proctoring
- All students will have the course midterm exam or a midway unit test proctored at school.
- Students will follow the test guidelines given in the welcome email & Online Program Orientation Slides.
Final Exam Proctoring
- All students will have a final/semester exam or final unit test proctored at school.
- Students will follow the test guidelines given in the welcome email & Online Program Orientation Slides.
