Advanced Placement
ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) & HONORS
MSHS offers Honors and Advanced Placement (AP) courses. Both course types are designed to allow students to explore the subject at a faster pace, and to get more in depth.
Benefits of AP Courses
AP courses are college-level courses taught in high school. Students may earn college credit by taking the corresponding AP exam and obtaining a credit-qualifying score (qualifying scores may differ by college/university). Students can benefit from taking an AP course in the following ways:
- Earn college credit (AP Credit Policy Database)
- Build college skills
- Stand out in the college admission process
Additional information can be found at the College Board Website.
