Transcript Requests

There are two basic types of transcripts, official and unofficial.  What is the difference between an official and an unofficial transcript?  

  • Unofficial means that it goes to the student.   
  • Official means the transcript goes from MSHS directly (electronically or otherwise) to the receiving institution. 

Current students can request an unofficial transcript which will be sent to their school issued email address.  Official transcripts must be ordered through Parchment and can be sent directly to an Educational Institution or an individual.

Unofficial transcripts are free of charge and will be processed once daily on days that school is in session.  Before ordering please consider which which type of transcript that you need.    Unofficial transcripts are ONLY available to students who are currently enrolled at MSHS and will ONLY be sent to their school email address.

Official transcripts can be ordered through Parchment and transmitted directly to the institution or individual of your choice.  During the school year, on days when school is in session, Parchment orders are processed once daily.  If your transcript is not complete at the end of a semester or end of the year, it my be moved to Hold For Grades until all of the necessary information is available.  For example, final transcripts for seniors will be processed in early July.  Parchment requests are processed during the summer break (M-Th) but are not processed during other school breaks or holidays.  If you have questions about your Parchment account please put in a ticket with Parchment or call Parchment support at 1-888-662-0874.   

Opening an Account:

Current students should check their school email account for an email from Parchment.  It is likely in your Junk Mail.  Follow the instructions below. 

  • Click the large green link
  • There will be several data points to fill in including choosing a password.
  • For a simpler process choose "no" when you are asked to give access to colleges and universities
